As many of your may know, I've been a strong supporter of racino legislation for more than 10 years. I continue to believe that this legislation is vital to the citizens of Minnesota. The main focus of this legislation is the creation of jobs and the taxation of a currently untaxed casino gaming industry in the state of Minnesota. The $200 million this legislation would disburse to state programs every budget cycle would have an enormous impact on many Minnesota citizens. Finally, the bill is imperative to the long-term success of the racing industry in the state of Minnesota.
